Here’s where I start to visualize a transformation.  This white space needs warmth.  Color, texture, style.  Paint, Stonework, Lighting.  A large wood built in on the east wall of the living room, slate ledgers on the fireplace and dining room accent wall, earth red area rugs, custom stair rails, cork flooring in the office and stairs, big dramatic art - - organic and textured, eclectic and artful, inspiring and homey.
